I've been contacted by Eric Steen, an artist from Portland, Oregon who is coming to Scotland to do an art project about beer (where do I get a job like that??), based at the Market Gallery in Glasgow.

He's looking for art students and homebrewers to get involved in the project. There will be a series of events at the gallery and a lot of "field research" (I'm not sure if this is a euphemism for pub crawls).

One of his themes is the relationship between beer and social change, so he's very interested in heather ale as an example of a drink which died out and was later revived.
